FIZE Office in Wetter
A small sign on the door – but an important next step for us.
Following the founding and registration of our non-profit association, FIZE – Forum for International Future & Development Partnerships e. V. has now also established its office in Wetter (Hesse).
From here, we can coordinate our projects, maintain contacts with our partners and, in particular, further develop our MICT UA initiative. Through this initiative, we are working together with partners in Germany and Ukraine to develop sustainable structures for the return and integration of young Ukrainians.
Over the past few months, an idea has gradually developed into a concrete initiative. In Ukraine, our approach has now reached the ministerial level; at the same time, we are building regional partnerships and concrete pilot structures. The question of how young Ukrainians living abroad can be encouraged to return at a later stage and be supported professionally, linguistically and socially is also regarded by the Ukrainian side as a relevant task for the future.
The physical foundation has therefore been created. What we still lack above all is one thing: capacity.
So far, the development of FIZE and MICT UA has been carried out largely on a voluntary basis. In order to turn the contacts, concepts and partnerships that have emerged into permanently functioning structures, we need a reliably staffed office – initially on a manageable scale, but with sufficient time for coordination, communication, fundraising and the further development of the project.
For this, we are looking for support: through funding, donations and membership fees that will help sustain our work in the long term.
Because an office alone does not build bridges.
But it is a good place to start.
